A lovely elegant Claret Jug stamped "Italy ".  The lid is beautifully adorned with foliage designs that flows onto the handle. The lid has a small shape resembling an acorn and the oak leaves surround the top of the lid.  This silver plate jug lid unscrews quite easily for cleaning.  It has a lovely Art Deco style star-shaped bottom with a hobnail cut design.   
The uses for this claret jug are endless..... ideas : cooled white wine for your barbecue table,  filtered water for your barbecue table or dining room table
Condition : Excellent vintage condition. Very clean and ready to use.  No chips or cracks on the crystal cut glass.  A bit of patina on the silver plate which comes with age, no corrosion.  As this is a handcrafted decanter, bubbles can be seen in the glass, always a sign of quality.
